Landscape photographer releases comprehensive guide to Idaho’s gems

Professional landscape photographer Linda Lantzy has just released a comprehensive guide to some of Idaho's most beautiful and iconic landscapes.

"Discovering Idaho's Scenic Drives and Backroad Treasures" takes photographers, sightseers and history buffs along 48 lesser-known routes into the heart of the beautiful Gem State. The book provides detailed directions and basic book maps, visual references, photographic tips and exquisite photographs of places some may never have imagined. It includes QR code functionality, which takes users to detailed online maps. Guide users will find iconic vistas, pioneer cabins, antique vehicles and old barns, and many other unforgettable locations just begging to be seen, experienced and photographed.

Lantzy, of Coeur d'Alene, was the 2017 Idaho Conservation League Artist in Residence. She founded Idaho Scenic Images (idahoscenics.com) in 2006 and has traveled tens of thousands of miles throughout the state, producing images from areas well off the beaten path. This book is the product of that research.

Twin Falls author and photographer Shari Hart (windandsagephotography.com) contributed her vast expertise to the guide by authoring and photographing 10 routes found in south-central and southwest Idaho.

The guide is available at Idaho Unlimited, 215 E. Cedar St., Suite C, in Pocatello, and online at idahoscenics.com/Idaho-guidebook.
