The property owners and businesses in Old Town Pocatello hope you and your family had a very safe and Happy Independence Day!

We have a big week in Old Town so plan to come shop, dine and play in the historic heart of Pocatello.

On Friday we will host the July First Friday Art Walk.  Don’t miss this opportunity to view and experience art by local artists as well as regional and national artists. The walk includes over twenty businesses, restaurants and galleries, some with art on display, some with the artist on hand and some providing a live demonstration. Refreshments are always available. You may also find live music along the way.

All local residents and visitors are welcome. There is no charge to attend monthly Art Walks and parking is free.  Art Walk guides will be available at www.oldtownpocatello.com on Thursday.

The Pocatello Art Center, 444 N. Main, will be hosting a new special exhibit during First Friday Art Walk on Friday from 5-8 pm. Local photographer Roger Boe and poet Will Petersen will share their work inspired by Craters of the Moon National Monument and Preserve.

A variety of artwork with the theme of “Vacation Vistas” created by Pocatello Art Center members, and the personal pottery of Augusta Scheetz will also be on display. The show will continue through July in the Pocatello Art Center Gallery. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Grecian Key Restaurant, 314 N. Main, will have live music Friday evening beginning at 7:30 pm. Their patio is open.  A great spot to enjoy a relaxing, delicious Greek dinner during First Friday Art Walk.

On Friday Portneuf Valley Brewing welcomes Bret Gordon, Steve Byers and Chad Waller with their new band called Gate City Sound playing in the Loft from 9 pm-11:30 pm, no cover.  On Saturday PVB will feature TNT DJ and Karaoke.  Show off your talents and be the star of the PVB stage in the Loft from 9 pm-11:30 pm, no cover!  PVB is open Sundays all summer long. Grab some lunch or dinner or hang out on the deck with your dogs and enjoy some sun and suds.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm at the Old Town Pavilion. Don’t miss the fresh bread, fresh produce, fresh eggs, and more at this week’s Market.

Westside Players will present the hilarious comedy “Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead” by Tom Stoppard.  Shows every Friday and Saturday during July.  Enjoy dinner and the show, or just the show. Get tickets today at www.westsideplayers.org  or 208-234-2654.
