POCATELLO — Cole Chevrolet has contributed $5,500 to the Bannock County Development Corporation in support of BDC’s economic development programs. Art Beery, general manager at Cole Chevrolet, presented the check in front of a new Corvette, symbolic of the speed of how this area is growing.

“Since arriving in Pocatello-Chubbuck, I’ve been impressed with the energy and results that Bannock Development Corporation provides in attracting good, sustainable job growth in our community,” Beery said.

The contribution gives a big boost to the Bannock Development Corporation’s annual fundraising campaign, just getting into full swing.

“It’s great to receive this support from a leader in our area’s automotive market, because the one thing most people need in order to buy a vehicle is a job,” said John Regetz, executive director of the Bannock Development Corporation.

Projects such as the FBI, Great Western Malting, and Western States CAT are examples of Bannock Development accomplishments with local expansions. Allstate, Bully Dog and Zip Kit Homes are companies that Bannock Development helped locate in Pocatello-Chubbuck.

“We encourage other dealerships in the community to invest in Bannock Development to keep the momentum going in our economy, since we are the first-line beneficiaries to the businesses they are, and will, attract,” said Beery.
