C of I receives 2017 Best Value School Award

Press Release

CALDWELL – The College of Idaho’s dedication to providing students with a top-dollar education at a fair price has received national recognition, with the C of I earning a 2017 Best Value School Award.

The award, which is issued by University Research & Review, recognizes not only affordability, but also the value students receive, including academic quality, program variety and overall student satisfaction.

“It is our distinguished pleasure to present the award to The College of Idaho,” URR Founder Joseph Schmoke stated. “We hope current students and alumni take pride in this honor, and we hope anyone searching for a quality, reasonably priced college education strongly considers the C of I.”

Out of more than 8,000 post-secondary institutions in America, less than 100 receive the annual award. Schools do not pay to receive the award –instead, they go through a rigorous nomination and review process by a committee of current and former university presidents, provosts, professors and CEOs.

This is the first year the C of I has earned the award.

“For 125 years, our mission has been to provide students affordable access to the highest quality education,” C of I President Charlotte Borst said. “We’re honored the award committee has recognized the value we offer to students, and we’re excited to continue this legacy moving forward.”
