Old Town Mercantile & Antiques, 134 N. Main St., has announced a new vendor has joined their shop.  Cutter Kornforth is a photographer, and his work is amazing! He photographs buildings, landscapes, and people.  Now is a great time to stop in and see Cutter’s work. Most of the vendors in the shop are also offering anywhere from 10-50% off items in stock!

March Extravaganza at Great Harvest this month! They are offering any Turkey/Swiss or Ham/Cheddar for $5!  They are also featuring their delicious Oregon Herb (this is a blend of Whole Wheat and Rye, loaded with herbs and spices), The ‘Rachel’ sandwich (smoked turkey, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and spicy mayo served on grilled Oregon Herb) and a variety of other goodies for St Patrick’s day. Stop in today!

Portneuf Valley Brewing is excited to announce their online ordering is all set up. You can order for pick-up, delivery, or for dine-in all from the brewery webpage, www.portneufvalleybrewing.com , so your food is ready when you get there.  On Wednesday, enjoy a relaxing night of painting in The Loft with PaintBox. Get step-by-step instructions on how to paint while sipping on a glass of wine or pint of beer. Check the PVB website for details. On Friday night The Mighty Rock Farmers will play a rousing show of rock and covers and then on Saturday a great combo of locals — George Asboe, Bob Merle, and Allen Ross – team up as The 4 am Club performing covers and originial material. Both shows are 9pm – 11:30 pm with no cover.

The Pocatello Pet Lodge, 145 S. 3rd, has announced that registration is now open for their Spring Session – Basic Manners Class.  There will be eight weekly sessions on Tuesdays beginning on April 4 from 6:30-7:30pm.  Registration is $175 and includes dog training leash, collar, a bag of treats plus three days of Doggie Day Care.  This class will fill up fast so call 237-PETS today for more information and to register.

The Pocatello Art Center will expand their popular “Pay As You Go” classes with a Monday evening session, starting April 3. Gabrielle Sivitz will host the new open studio time for all media from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Daytime “Pay As You Go” classes continue with Bob Beason providing assistance in all media on Tuesdays from 9 am to 12 pm, Karen Wardle focusing on issues with oil paintings on Wednesdays from 9 am to 12 pm, and Penny Wolf also helping out with oil paintings from 1 – 4 pm on Thursdays. Bring a project, art supplies, and your questions. Daytime sessions are $12.50, the evening session is $10, no registration required.  The Pocatello Art Center is located at 444 N. Upcoming Events!
Registration is now open!  Pocatello’s premier 5K obstacle race will be returning to Old Town Pocatello on Saturday, April 29th.  Plan now to compete as SEICAA and Old Town host the 5th Annual Urban Invasion Obstacle Challenge. This four person team race is sponsored by ERA The Brokerage and Guild Mortgage.  Grab your three most adventure seeking friends and register your team to compete east to west through Old Town.  Along the course, encounter 20 crazy obstacles built by local businesses and organizations.  Registration is now open at www.raceentry.com.  Come join the fun and support SEICAA’s emergency services programs.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will host a vendor open house on April 15 from 4pm to 5pm at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St. Market vendors are invited to come talk with the Market Managers and fill out applications for the 2017 season.  The Department of Weights and Measures and the Idaho State Tax commission will also be available to answer questions. The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will open on Saturday, May 6 at 9am and will be open every Saturday from 9am to 1pm through the end of October.  If you are a return vendor or interesting in becoming a new vendor, please plan to stop by the open house.

The Friends of the Marshall Public Library invite the public to their Spring Used Book Sale which will be held Thursday through Saturday, April 20-22. The sale will be held in the Marshall Library, 113 S. Garfield St., Pocatello.

A wide variety of soft and hardcover books as well as videos and CDs will be available for purchase.  Paperback items will be sold for $1.00 each and hardbacks for $2.00.  However, all remaining stock will be reduced 50% on Saturday morning! Hours for the sale are:  Thursday, April 20 – 9:00 am to 9 pm, Friday, April 21  — 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday, April 22  – 9 am to 4 pm.
