Children rocket upward in a ride at last year’s Eastern Idaho State Fair.

For the fourth time in the past 6 years, The Eastern Idaho State Fair took home top national advertising honors at this year’s 126th annual International Association of Fairs and Expositions (IAFE) convention held at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The EISF was awarded top honors again for their 2016 “Eat, Drink and be Happy” theme, taking home the award for Best Overall Advertising Campaign nationwide in their division.

The design, concept and production for this year’s campaign was handled by Idaho Falls marketing firm I.E. Productions, who are starting their 11th year representing the fair. EISF board president George Hamilton, Jefferson County, accepted the award at a special ceremony held on the IAFE conventions closing night.

The IAFE advertising awards are held each year to honor Fairs and Expositions from across the nation, who produce outstanding, creative marketing programs.

Eastern Idaho State Fair general manager Brandon Bird was excited to hear the news.

“It’s great to be recognized on a national level for our work. Our creative and design team at I.E. Productions does an amazing job producing our campaign each year in ways that capture the fun and excitement found at the fair. This year’s record attendance of over 231,000 people was the culmination of so much support from sponsors, fair employees, concessionaires, vendors, exhibitors and fair attendees. Work is already underway to develop the 2017 Theme for this year’s 9 day event.”
