Earlier today at approximately 4:10pm Bonneville County Sheriff's Deputies and Idaho Falls Ambulance responded to the area above Blackhawk Estates to a report of an injury snowmobile accident.
The incident occurred more than half mile from the roadway in the foothills where 2 teenage boys were riding a snowmobile. Apparently the snowmobile went over an embankment and rolled injuring one of the boys.
The other boy notified Dispatch and started CPR until a Deputy arrived to assist. Due to terrain Air Idaho was dispatched and airlifted the victim to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim is 14 years of age and his name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.
